National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), erstwhile known as the DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the government of India. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The NIELIT (National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology) Scheme, jointly developed by AICTE and DeitY, was launched in 1990 after detailed deliberations in a National Working Group. The objective of the scheme is to generate high quality man-power in the computer software and allied fields by utilising the expertise and facilities available with various institutions in the non-formal sector. NIELIT is one of the National Examination Body in India, which accredits Computer courses in 'O' , 'A' , 'B' & 'C' level approving institutes / organizations for conducting particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT education and training.

The college runs "O” Level & “A” Level courses within its Career Hub Known as PRATISTHA which is a non-profit professional Information Technology ( IT ) training centre with state-of-art computer laboratories and experienced resource persons. All the above couses are recognized by the Department of Information Technology (IT), Govt. of India, and AICT. Sessions for these courses commence bi-annualy, in January and again in July each every year. Both theoretical and practical classes are conducted on weekends with flexible Learner-centric time/slot allotment. The students of R. B. C. College may avail a discount upto 15%.
